Midland League- Division 5- Final Meeting- Telford 3rd August 2008

Shrewsbury provided a strong team for the Final meeting at Telford, needing to beat the team above (Cannock & Stafford) by 3 clear places. We filled the majority of events winning several A and B strings in the Ladies. The Men suffered some injuries and absences of their A string athletes. The Men came 4th on the day- with the Ladies winning, with the combined team score coming in second place.

Unfortunately Cannock & Stafford beat us on the accumulated League points, so subject to confirmation we were relegated.
A big thank you for everyone who made the effort both on Sunday but especially those who have competed, officiated and helped throughout the season.

We do leave the division with 10 divisional records, so nice to have our names left on the records for next season.

Lots of good performances on the day- to many to mention- well done for the two track debuts for Dom and Steve in the distance races.
See below link for details- (results subject to confirmation).
