Severn Loop 5K Summer Race Press Release 9/6/10

Following the success of the inaugural Severn Loop 5K Race in December 2009, Shrewsbury Athletic Club will be staging a summer version of the event on Sunday 27th June 2010, starting at 10.30am in the Quarry Park, Shrewsbury. The December race attracted 140 runners of all abilities, ranging from unattached runners to committed club athletes looking for a personal best time on the fast accurately measured and certified course and the Club is expecting a significant increase in entries for the summer event.

The 5K Race will now have a limit of 250 runners, so pre-entries, which close on Friday 19th June 2010 are strongly recommended, as entries on the day will only be accepted up to the race entry limit. As with the December race, there will be a Junior 2K Race starting at 9.45am, with entries on the day only.

Entry Forms can be accessed on: www.ukresults.net/forms/100627severn.pdf
