Runners from Shrewsbury Athletic Club have competed in the first events
in the Telford Sexarathon and Summer Fell Series in Shropshire and the
Spring Treble Challenge Series in Staffordshire.

series of three challenging off road races on the Staffordshire
moorlands, finishing 10th in the Hanchurch Hilly event in 32/34, 8th in
the Milford Murder event in 37/37 and 6th in the Darlaston Ups and

The Telford Sexarathon Series got under way with the staging of the

the 2011 Series through injury, made an excellent comeback, leading the
squad home in 34th place in 31/04. He was followed by Tim Smith, 46th
and 7th in the Over 40 category in 31/59, with Chris Wakeman 66th and

4th in the Female over 40 category in 41/42.
The Wrekin Streak, the first in the Summer fell Series, was staged in
some of the event's worst conditions of wind and rain, but undeterred,
Dan Croft had an outstanding run, finishing 9th in 20/24 and 3rd
Veteran over 45, with Dom Kirby 16th in 21/41 and son Ross, 2nd in the
Under 16 category in 23/55 while achieving a highly creditable 43rd
place in the senior event of over 100 runners.
