Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners achieved double success at the Shropshire County Cross Country Championships at Attingham Park on Saturday. The new enthusiasm within the ranks, combined with the strengthening of the Mens' and Womens' squads by new members, produced a further improvement in the Club's fortunes, resulting in 1st place for the Mens' team of Pete Middleton, Gabe Morris, Neil O' Hanlon, Matt Hall, Scott Hall and Luke Butler and 2nd place for the Womens' team of Anna Bartlett, Sara Willhoit, Jacqueline Macey, Lauren Morley, Joanne Dean and Gill Evans. Three of the Womens' team, Sara Willhoit, Lauren Morley and Joanne Dean were running their debut xc races for the Club, as was Neil O'Hanlon in the Mens' team. 

The Club juniors also excelled with 1st place in the Under 17 Girls' team event, 2nd place in the Under 15 Boys' team event and 3rd place in the Under 13 Boys' team event.
