At the British Masters 10 Mile Championships at Rhyl, Simon Adney finished 29th in 61/50 and Pete Savill 72nd and 3rd Veteran Over 65 in 68/30.

On the fell running scene, the fourth fixture of the Shropshire Winter Fell Race Series took place with the staging of the Long Mynd Valleys Race at Church Stretton, with Gabe Morris finishing 22nd in 2/01/14 and Gill Evans 136th in 2/38/43, 2nd Lady Veteran Over 55 on the day, but maintaining 1st place in her age category for the Series with two races to go. Gordon Trevor finished 37th in the Titterstone Clee Fell Race the day before, in 53/54 and was 1st Veteran Over 65.

There were mixed fortunes for Mike Thomas in the Mortimer Madness Trail Half Marathon, putting in a brave performance to finish 24th in 2/18/49, despite an unscheduled detour of one mile in the wrong direction with the leading group of runners and aggravating a groin injury 8 weeks before his participation in the London Marathon.
