Gabe Morris has continued to spearhead Shrewsbury Athletic Club’s campaign in the Telford Athletic Club Sexarathon Series, with 10th place in the Ironbridge 4 Mile Race and 8th in the Vic Musgrove Fast 5K Race, raising his position from 3rd to 2nd place in the Series with one fixture to go. At Ironbridge, he was chased all the way by Luke Butler who finished 12th, with Matt Hall, maintaining his steady improvement since the start of the Series, in 26th place. In the Vic Musgrove race, Michael Betts took a break from his usual schedule of races involving at least 26 miles and several thousand feet of ascent, to finish 20th, just edging out James Hickinbottom by one second in 21st place. Pete Savill maintained his lead in the Veteran Over 60 category for the Series.

The Club had a successful outing to the Dearnford Lake Relays at Whitchurch, a fast flat course comprising 3 x 2 Mile legs, producing a closely contested race, with Club team St Ivel storming to 1st place overall and team Franciscan Flyers finishing 3rd overall. Team 3 Shades of Grey finished 23rd overall and 13th in their category.

In the Stiperstones Fell Race, part of the Shropshire Summer Fell Race Series, Gill Evans finished 74th in 42.05 and 1st in the Lady Veteran Over 50 category.
